Evaluation of Intra-Aneurysmal Residual Blood Flow with the iMSDE T1-Black Blood Imaging after Flow Diverter Treatment

چکیده

Objective: We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of “improved motion-sensitized driven-equilibrium (iMSDE)”-prepared T1-weighted black blood (T1-BB) MRI for monitoring treatment effect with a flow diverter (FD) cerebral aneurysms.

Simulation of Intra-Aneurysmal Blood Flow by Different Numerical Methods

The occlusional performance of sole endoluminal stenting of intracranial aneurysms is controversially discussed in the literature. Simulation of blood flow has been studied to shed light on possible causal attributions. The outcome, however, largely depends on the numerical method and various free parameters. The present study is therefore conducted to find ways to define parameters and efficie...

In Vitro Evaluation of Intra-Aneurysmal, Flow-Diverter-Induced Thrombus Formation: A Feasibility Study.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Intracranial aneurysm treatment by flow diverters aims at triggering intra-aneurysmal thrombosis. By combining in vitro blood experiments with particle imaging velocimetry measurements, we investigated the time-resolved thrombus formation triggered by flow diverters. MATERIALS AND METHODS Two test setups were built, 1 for particle imaging velocimetry and 1 for blood exp...

The outcome however largely depends on various free parameters which all have considerable impact on simulation results. The current study is therefore conducted to find ways to define...

Evaluation of diastolic blood flow dynamic of the left ventricle in dogs with mitral valve regurgitation using vector flow mapping

Mitral valve regurgitation (MVR) is a common valvular disease in dogs. Hydrokinetic evaluation of the blood flow within the ventricles has become possible by vector flow mapping (VFM), which shows the blood flow within the ventricles in vector and vortex flows. Blood flow within the left ventricle of MVR dogs was compared at different stages of MVR and to that of normal dogs. 14 normal dogs and...
